Heatmap settings that fit HYPE
- 1
Range: Auto, at ±100 bps
Auto sits at its ceiling of ±100 bps here. HYPE’s nearest 1,000 levels reach about 1.4% below and 1.4% above price, further than the heatmap’s widest view, so the whole window is real data. Narrow it to ±25 or ±50 bps when you want the walls next to price drawn in finer rows.
- 2
Time span: 5m
Use the 5m span. That reach is 2.8 times HYPE’s typical fifteen-minute move of 0.50%. Over a full fifteen minutes a normal move can carry price past the levels that were recorded, and the edge of the picture turns grey; five minutes keeps it filled on all but the fastest swings.
- 3
Trade bubbles: from $20K
Set Minimum cluster to about $20K. HYPE turns over about $9K a second on an average day, so that floor keeps trade clusters of roughly 5 seconds’ turnover or more. The bubbles left on screen are the bursts worth checking against the walls they hit.
Reading Hyperliquid’s book
The largest offer within the heatmap’s widest view sits at 84.000, 0.35% above price: $2.3M, 18% of everything published on that side and about about 4 minutes of average HYPE trading. That is large for how fast HYPE trades: clearing it takes sustained aggression, so the useful observation is whether it holds, refills or is pulled as price arrives.
The book is close to balanced: 42% of the size within ±1% rests on the bid. Read that as a fact about resting orders at the moment of the snapshot, not as a forecast. Displayed size is often cancelled as price approaches, and on HYPE the heatmap is where you see whether the heavier side stays when it is tested.
HYPE links exchange activity, protocol economics and a highly engaged trading audience, so platform-specific catalysts can dominate broad market beta.
The common mistake: Assuming protocol usage must translate mechanically into token demand. Venue concentration and reflexive community positioning can amplify both trend persistence and abrupt reversals.

Questions
Is the HYPE liquidity heatmap really free?+
Yes. The heatmap, depth of market and Time & Sales are free for HYPE and every other crypto perpetual in Basis: no account, no trial and no card. The book is recorded in your browser from Binance’s public stream, so there is no per-user server cost to charge for.
Is this a HYPE liquidation heatmap?+
No. A liquidation heatmap estimates where leveraged positions would be forced out, from a model of entries and leverage. This heatmap draws resting orders that are actually in Binance’s HYPEUSDT book, recorded as they change. Reported HYPE liquidations are marked on the same timeline, so a model is never mistaken for the book.
Are HYPE order book walls real or spoofed?+
Public order book data cannot say who placed an order or whether it will stay, so no tool can label a wall genuine. What the heatmap shows is behaviour: size that holds while it trades, size that refills at the same price, and size that disappears as price approaches. Basis marks those changes as liquidity events so they are easy to find.
How far does the HYPE heatmap reach?+
As far as Binance publishes: the nearest 1,000 price levels on each side. On HYPE they reach about 1.4% below and 1.4% above price right now. Anything beyond that was never sent, so it draws as grey rather than as an empty book, and recording starts when you open the heatmap because Binance keeps no order-book history.
Can I watch the HYPE heatmap on my phone?+
Yes. The Order Flow workspace runs in the phone’s browser with the heatmap on top and the ladder and tape below. Phones pause background tabs, so recording stops while you are in another app; keep Basis in front while you watch and it reconnects when you return.
Open HYPE and watch the walls
The button opens the Order Flow workspace on HYPEUSDT: the heatmap starts recording at once, with the ladder and the tape beside it. Give it a minute before reading anything into the picture.
