Paste the code into any page that accepts HTML. For Notion, paste the link and choose Embed.

From preview to your page

  1. Choose your pair, starting chart and indicators below. Candles are a compact starting point; footprint and heatmap need more space.

  2. Press Copy link, not Copy code. In Notion, type /embed and paste that URL into the Embed block.

  3. Resize the block and, if useful, set the Notion page to full width. Test it in the app and on the devices your readers use.

Paste the URL, not iframe HTML

Notion’s Embed block takes an external content URL. Use the Copy link button in this builder; pasting the whole iframe snippet into a text or code block will display code instead of creating the chart. If Notion cannot load the embed, test the same URL in a browser.

What stays saved, and what does not

The link stores the initial symbol, view, venue, interval, theme and starting indicators. It does not turn Notion into a synchronized Basis workspace. Do not rely on drawings or view changes made inside an iframe to become a permanent journal record; save the analysis separately.

Choose detail to fit the available space

A candle chart works in a narrower journal column. Bid/ask numbers need enough horizontal space and zoom; the live heatmap builds order-book history while it runs. Every embed also depends on network and exchange availability, including restrictions on the reader’s connection.

Before you embed

Can I add a free Bitcoin chart to Notion?

Yes. Choose BTCUSDT, copy the widget link and paste it into a Notion Embed block. No Basis account or API key is needed for the public crypto chart.

Can I embed footprint or order flow in Notion too?

Yes. Select Footprint or Heatmap before copying the link. These views use Binance crypto data; the heatmap uses perpetuals and accumulates book history while open.

Does the chart stay frozen at my trade entry?

No. It is a live chart, not an immutable trade snapshot. Keep a dated image and your notes if you need to preserve what you saw when entering a trade.
