Crypto chart widgets for WordPress
Your WordPress article. A working chart inside it.
Add an interactive crypto chart to a market post, education page or trading community site. Generate the iframe here and place it in a Custom HTML block—no Basis-specific plugin required.
Fills the width of your column at this height.
Footprint by Basis
<div class="basis-chart-widget" style="width:100%;max-width:100%"> <iframe src="https://www.basischarts.com/embed/chart?symbol=BTCUSDT&view=footprint" title="BTCUSDT live footprint chart by Basis" width="100%" height="520" loading="lazy" style="border:0;border-radius:12px;display:block" sandbox="allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox"></iframe> <p style="margin:6px 0 0;font:12px/1.4 system-ui,sans-serif;color:#7d8998">Live footprint by <a href="https://www.basischarts.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Basis</a></p> </div>
Paste the code into any page that accepts HTML. For Notion, paste the link and choose Embed.
From preview to your page
Build your chart below and press Copy code. Full width is a useful default for an article column.
In the WordPress block editor, add a Custom HTML block and paste the generated iframe code—not a code-display block.
Preview the published page. WordPress.com requires a paid plan with hosting features activated for iframe code; self-hosted sites need a role and configuration that permit it.
Check the chart at mobile width. If code disappears on saving, check HTML permissions or sanitization before changing the widget URL.
WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress differ
WordPress.com restricts iframe and other advanced HTML to eligible paid sites with hosting features activated. Self-hosted WordPress can also strip restricted tags for roles without the required capability, particularly on multisite installations. A blank or removed iframe may be an editor permission issue, not a market-data failure.
Fix a blank or clipped embed
First open the copied widget link directly. If it works there, inspect the page’s HTML and iframe height, content-security policy, consent tools and lazy-loading plugins. Permit frames from https://www.basischarts.com only where appropriate; do not disable site-wide security to add one chart.
Keep your page fast and your article readable
The generated iframe uses lazy loading. Each active chart still consumes browser CPU and network resources, so start with one widget. Keep your headline, methodology and conclusions in your article HTML; an iframe is not a replacement for useful indexable content. Email inboxes generally do not run these charts—link to the web article instead.
Before you embed
Do I need a WordPress plugin or a Basis API key?
No. Basis provides ordinary iframe HTML. Your WordPress site must allow that HTML, but Basis requires neither a plugin nor an API key for public crypto widgets.
Will it work on the free WordPress.com plan?
Do not assume so. WordPress.com restricts iframe HTML to paid plans with hosting features activated. If your plan does not permit it, use a normal link to the chart or check WordPress’s current plan requirements.
Can I match my site’s theme?
Yes. Choose a light or dark chart, full width or fixed dimensions, and whether reader tools are visible. The Basis branding remains.
