Basis Founders · Whale Intelligence

Hyperliquid whale tracker. Screened traders, real liquidation prices.

Every position on Hyperliquid is public, which means anyone can look up a wallet. The hard part is knowing which wallets are worth watching. Basis screens the large accounts on published rules, keeps the consistent traders and drops market makers and algorithms, then puts their entries and liquidation levels on the chart you already trade from.

Totals only, rounded. Which whales, their sizes, entries and liquidation prices are in Founders.

Why most whale trackers are noisy

A raw list of the largest wallets mixes very different players: market makers quoting both sides, funds hedging elsewhere, automated books that change every few minutes, and the occasional trader with real conviction. Following that list means reacting to activity that was never a view on price.

Screening removes most of that noise before you see it. A whale here has a large, profitable account with steady monthly results and contained drawdowns, and a book that changes like a person’s rather than a program’s. The rules are published, applied to every snapshot, and a whale that fails them leaves the list.

Entries and liquidation prices, where you trade

A whale position is useful when you can see it against price. Founders draws each listed whale’s entry and liquidation level on the coin you have open, beside modelled options gamma walls and the largest Deribit option block strikes, so a level you were already watching either gains a reason or loses one.

A liquidation price is where a position would be forced shut. When several large ones sit near the same area, a move into it can speed up as they are closed. That is context for your own plan, not a signal: confirm it with the footprint and the order book before acting on it.

Told when they move

Snapshots run every five minutes. When a listed whale opens, adds to, reduces, closes or flips a position, the change appears in the feed, and Founders can send it to Telegram for the whales, coins, sides and sizes you choose, or only when several whales move into the same coin on the same side.

The list has a track record, and it is shown as it is, losing weeks included. Whales are traders with good histories, not oracles, and nothing here promises that following them makes money.

What Founders shows

The screened list

Each whale under a codename with its account size, open positions, entries, unrealised result and recent moves.

Liquidation ladder

Where the listed positions on a coin would be liquidated, above and below the current price.

The levels map

Whale entries and liquidation zones on the chart, with modelled gamma walls, max pain and the largest option block strikes.

Telegram alerts

A message when a whale you follow opens, adds to, reduces, closes or flips a position.

How a whale gets on the list

These rules run on every snapshot, and they are the same rules the terminal publishes.

  1. At least $1M in the account and $5M of perp volume this month
  2. Turnover between 5x and 500x equity: traders, not token holders or market makers
  3. $1M+ all-time profit, at least $500k of it from perps, profitable this month and not blowing up this week
  4. This month: 50%+ of days profitable, winning days 1.3x+ the losing ones, drawdown under 20%
  5. Over the last year a drawdown under 35%, and most periods profitable across the account's history
  6. Whales already on the list stay through a bad week or a flat month; they leave on a deep drawdown, an inconsistent record, profit or account that is gone, or when they stop trading
  7. Not an algorithm: a book that changes in more than 32 of a day's 96 quarter-hours leaves the list at once and stays off for 30 days

Questions before you start

Is this data public?+

The positions are: Hyperliquid records every account’s positions on chain. What Basis adds is the screening, the five-minute snapshots, the levels drawn on your chart and the alerts. Whales appear under codenames, and Basis does not publish their addresses.

How are the whales chosen?+

By published rules applied to every snapshot: a large account with real perp volume, turnover that looks like trading rather than holding or market making, lasting profit, steady monthly results, contained drawdowns, and a book that does not change like an algorithm. The full list of rules is on this page.

What can I see without paying?+

The live totals on this page are free: how many whales are listed, how many wallets were screened, their combined book, the net direction, and how many hold each coin long or short. So are the chart, order flow and derivatives in the terminal. Individual whales, sizes, entries, liquidation prices and alerts are Founders.

Can I copy their trades automatically?+

No. Basis is a research terminal and never connects to an exchange account or places an order. Whale data is context for your own decisions; the track record shows the list loses money in some weeks, and none of this is financial advice.

What does Founders cost?+

$15 for 30 days or $50 once for life, with no automatic renewal. Whale Intelligence comes with every other Founders tool: stock and gold footprints, custom timeframes, multi-chart, volume profiles and Telegram alerts on your drawings.

Written by the Basis team, updated 2026-11-07. Whale positions come from Hyperliquid’s public account data, read every five minutes; options gamma is a model and is labelled as one. Research tools, not financial advice: whales are traders with good histories, not predictions, and the list loses money in some weeks.
