Forex order flow, from real trades. Free.
Yes, you can read forex order flow free on Basis, on currency pairs that trade on an exchange with a public tape: EUR/USDT, USDT/TRY, USDT/BRL and others on Binance. You get live trades tagged by aggressor, delta, CVD, large prints and resting liquidity, with no account and no card. It is not the bank market, which publishes no order flow at all.
What you get
- The Order Flow workspace on eight currency pairs: a liquidity heatmap with executed trades on top
- Live delta and CVD built from trades tagged by which side crossed the spread
- Time & Sales with a size filter, so large prints stand out from the rest of the tape
- Depth of market with walls marked and the book’s balance within set distances of price
- A Volume footprint on the same pair, one tab away, for the price-by-price view inside each bar
- Signals when the book and the tape disagree, each one showing what it saw rather than a forecast
Why this is usually paid for
Order flow data for forex is usually sold, and what is sold is rarely what it sounds like. Spot forex has no central exchange, so there is no complete record of trades to sell. What exists is a broker’s own flow, a sample of a few venues, or currency futures from a futures exchange, which come with a data subscription.
Currency pairs on an exchange are the free alternative. Binance publishes every trade in EUR/USDT and its other currency pairs, and its order book, so the delta and CVD here are real figures from one venue rather than estimates. They describe this market only, priced against USDT, and it is small beside the bank market. That makes it a useful window, not a view of everyone.
How to use it
- 1
Open the Order Flow workspace
The button opens EUR/USDT in Order Flow: the heatmap in the middle, depth of market and Time & Sales at the side. Switch pairs from the symbol search; the Forex tab lists them first.
- 2
Let the book record
The heatmap draws the order book from the moment you open it, so areas before that are grey rather than empty. Give it a few minutes, and read trades over the bright bands where liquidity actually rests.
- 3
Watch delta against price
Rising CVD with a rising price is plain demand. Rising CVD with a flat price means buyers are being absorbed, which is often the more useful thing to know. Treat either as a question to check, not as an answer.
- 4
Check it against EUR/USD
USDT can drift slightly from a dollar, and that gap looks just like a move in the euro. Before you read much into a small move, compare it with a EUR/USD quote so you know which side of the pair moved.
Questions
Is forex order flow data really free here?+
Yes, on these pairs. They are Binance spot markets, and the Order Flow workspace, footprint, depth of market and Time & Sales are free on every crypto market in Basis, with no account, no trial and no card.
Is there real order flow in forex at all?+
Not for the whole market, because spot forex trades over the counter with no central record. Real order flow exists where a currency trades on an exchange, as these pairs do on Binance and currency futures do on a futures exchange.
Is this the order flow of EUR/USD?+
It is the order flow of EUR/USDT on Binance, which moves with EUR/USD but is a separate and much smaller market. It shows how traders on this venue behaved, and that is often informative, but it does not show what the banks are doing.
Can I see large orders and walls?+
Yes. Depth of market marks unusually large resting orders, the heatmap shows how they appear and disappear, and Time & Sales can filter to large prints. A resting order can be pulled at any time, so check that trades actually meet it.
Does order flow tell me where the price will go?+
No. It shows what has been traded and what is resting right now, which helps you judge a level you already care about. It does not predict the next move, and nothing in Basis is a trading signal or financial advice.
