An order book heatmap beside your TradingView chart. Free.

Yes, you can watch a live order book heatmap for free while you chart on TradingView. Its built-in heatmaps map whole markets rather than one market’s resting orders, so Basis fills that gap for crypto: a free heatmap of any Binance perpetual’s bids and offers, recorded once a second, in a tab beside your chart.

What you get

  • A live liquidity heatmap of any Binance USD-M perpetual: resting bids and offers recorded once a second, with up to fifteen minutes kept
  • Fit, 1m, 5m and 15m time spans, and an Auto price range fitted to how far the published book reaches
  • Trade bubbles, a price line, a volume profile of the window and CVD with delta drawn over the book
  • Liquidity events marking pulled, held and refilled size, and reported liquidations on the same timeline
  • Depth of market and Time & Sales beside the heatmap, plus a page for each large coin listing its biggest walls right now

Why this is usually paid for

Charting platforms are built around candles, and TradingView is the best of them. What a candle cannot show is the order book: where size was resting before price got there, whether it stayed, and whether it was traded through or pulled. Resting liquidity drawn over time is a heatmap of the book, and it has mostly lived in specialist, paid order-flow software.

Basis records Binance’s public order book in your browser once a second, so there is no data feed to resell and no per-user server cost, and the heatmap is free on every crypto perpetual Binance lists. It is crypto only, and it records from the moment you open it, because exchanges publish the live book but keep no history of it.

Checked 1 November 2026: TradingView’s built-in Heatmaps map whole markets, stocks, ETFs or crypto coins, sized and coloured by a metric you choose; they do not draw one market’s resting orders over time. How to use it

  1. 1

Open the heatmap on your contract

The button below opens the Order Flow workspace on Binance BTCUSDT, the contract TradingView writes as BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P. Switch the symbol to whatever you are charting; the heatmap starts recording at once.

  2. 2

    Give it a minute

The picture fills from the left as the book is recorded. Read nothing into the first seconds; after a few minutes, bright bands that persist are size that has stayed in the book.

  3. 3

    Bring your levels from TradingView

Keep marking structure where you always do. When price approaches one of your levels, look across at the heatmap: is there size resting there, and does it hold, refill or vanish as price arrives?

  4. 4

    Confirm with the trades

Turn on trade bubbles and watch the tape beside the heatmap. Size that keeps trading without moving price suggests absorption; size that disappears just before price touches it is the more common observation, and the more useful one.

Questions

Does TradingView have an order book heatmap?+

Not as a built-in chart. TradingView’s Heatmaps map whole markets, sized and coloured by a metric you choose, rather than one market’s resting orders over time, as checked on 1 November 2026. Basis draws a live order book heatmap for any Binance perpetual free, in a browser tab beside your chart.

Is an order book heatmap the same as a liquidation heatmap?+

No. A liquidation heatmap is a model that estimates where leveraged positions would be forced out, from assumed entries and leverage. An order book heatmap draws the bids and offers actually resting in the book, recorded as they change. Basis marks reported liquidations on the same timeline, so the two are never confused.

Can I put this heatmap inside TradingView?+

No. Basis is a separate tool in the browser, not a TradingView indicator. The usual setup is TradingView in one tab or window and the Basis heatmap in another, on the same contract, so the levels you draw in one are easy to check against the book in the other.

Which markets have a free heatmap?+

Every Binance USD-M crypto perpetual, plus the PAXG and XAUT gold tokens. Stock and commodity perpetuals belong to Basis Founders. The largest coins also have their own heatmap pages, each with a snapshot of that coin’s biggest walls and the heatmap settings that fit its book.

Do I need an account to use it?+

No. There is no account, trial or card: open the link and the heatmap starts recording Binance’s live book in your browser. It needs nothing from TradingView either. Signing in to Basis is optional and only keeps your layouts and drawings in step across devices.
