Basis Founders · Binance perpetual data
Choose the footprint feed before you choose the platform.
An attractive ladder is not enough. The useful questions are which transactions it represents, how much history is covered, what you can customize and what you actually pay for. Use this checklist before buying footprint software.
Data scope: Basis’s paid stock and commodity footprints use Binance perpetual transactions. Choose another feed if your requirement is native share-market or CME futures order flow.

Chart links select Binance futures, Volume footprint and 5m. Active Founders access is required; they do not bypass membership.
1. Match the feed to the market you analyze
Ask for the exchange, full symbol and contract type. “Stock order flow” might mean consolidated equity transactions, a single exchange, options prints or a stock-linked perpetual. “Gold volume” might mean broker tick activity, dated futures or perpetual trades. Those are not interchangeable purchases.
Basis is a fit for researching supported stock, ETF-linked and commodity perpetuals on Binance. It is not a replacement for exchange-native share prints, a futures-specific execution platform or an options block-trade feed. Start with this decision and the rest of the comparison becomes simpler.
2. Test the difference between detail and decoration
A useful footprint should explain what its rows and colors mean. Check whether you can change row grouping, distinguish buy-initiated from sell-initiated volume, inspect delta and identify the highest-volume row. Ask how tiny-volume imbalances are handled before trusting a screen full of highlights.
In Basis, footprint controls let you adapt the ladder to the contract. Volume profile gives the broader distribution and multi-chart keeps another view beside it. More settings are useful only when you can keep the same definitions across your observations.
3. Check history and the total access cost
A long candle history does not establish a long footprint history. Check the detailed tape indicator, what happens when you scroll back and whether pending coverage is distinguished from actual low volume. No platform should imply that OHLCV bars alone reveal every historical bid/ask transaction.
Basis Founders costs $15 for 30 days with manual renewal, or $50 for lifetime access. Stock and commodity perpetual footprints are included, not priced per chart. Card and crypto checkout are available; review the final amount, applicable taxes or provider/network fees and payment terms before paying.
A practical workflow in Basis
Write down your required feed
Name the venue, contract and type of volume. Rule out a mismatch before comparing screenshots or prices.
Inspect the same use case
Compare row controls, a covered historical window and the live-bar behavior using a consistent question.
Choose the access term deliberately
Select $15 for 30 days to use Founders without automatic renewal, or compare lifetime access. Check the payment terms and data scope first.
Questions before you start
Is the lowest price always the best footprint software?
No. A cheaper feed for the wrong contract does not answer your trading question. Compare source, coverage and workflow first, then total cost.
Can I inspect the basic charting interface before buying?
Yes. Basis’s crypto terminal remains free. Stock and commodity access is paid; using the free crypto terminal does not unlock those instruments or constitute a Founders trial.
How much does stock and commodity footprint access cost?
Basis Founders is $15 USD for 30 days, renewed manually. There is no automatic recurring charge. Lifetime access is also available for $50 USD once. Applicable taxes or provider/network fees are shown at checkout. The numbered Founder badge belongs to the lifetime plan.
Can I pay by card rather than cryptocurrency?
Yes. Card checkout is available through Creem. NOWPayments is an alternative for crypto payments. Access opens after payment is verified. See the payments page for the applicable terms and refund process.
What does a bid/ask footprint measure in Basis?
It groups the selected Binance contract’s executed trades by price and bar. Sell-initiated volume appears on the bid side and buy-initiated volume on the ask side. Delta is buy volume minus sell volume. It is not a record of every resting order or the identity of traders.
Why are some historical rows still loading?
Detailed trade tape loads separately from candles. Check the tape/coverage status before interpreting older bars; a pending ladder is not zero activity. History depends on source availability and the loaded window, not an unlimited tick archive.
Can I use a Hyperliquid stock chart for this footprint?
Basis also charts Hyperliquid markets, but its exact-trade footprint currently uses Binance. Select the Binance version of a supported stock or commodity for the footprint described here; same-name contracts on different venues are separate markets.
