Basis Founders · Binance perpetual data

Stock footprint charts. Look inside the move.

A candle shows the range. A footprint shows where buyers and sellers actually traded within it. Bring that price-by-price view to stock perpetuals, then keep your levels, indicators and analysis in the same browser workspace.

Data scope: These charts show Binance stock perpetual transactions. They are not Nasdaq or NYSE share transactions, a consolidated equity tape, or dark-pool data.

What a stock footprint adds to a candlestick

Two candles can close at the same price after very different activity. One may contain buying spread across the range; another may concentrate most of its volume near a single level. Bid/ask rows make that difference visible. Delta separates aggressive buying from aggressive selling, while the point of control identifies the busiest price row in the selected bar.

Use these views to ask a narrower question: did the contract trade actively beyond the level you marked, or did it quickly return? Neither a green delta nor a highlighted imbalance is a buy instruction. The subsequent price response matters as much as the volume that produced the highlight.

Stock perpetual flow is a separate market

An NVDAUSDT footprint describes participation in that perpetual contract, not all trading in Nvidia shares. Differences in participants, funding and liquidity can create different prices and different volume distributions. A large print does not identify an institution or disclose its intent.

Keep the underlying share market as context, especially around company announcements. Compare like with like: the same venue, instrument, row size and session window. Do not read a thin out-of-hours perpetual ladder as proof of what the entire equity market is doing.

A workspace you can tune to the instrument

Basis lets you adjust footprint row grouping, colors and imbalance thresholds. Start with readable rows and a short interval, then zoom into an area you already care about. A very fine row size on a lightly traded contract can scatter a useful concentration across many nearly empty rows.

Add a volume profile for context across several bars, keep a conventional candle chart alongside it in multi-chart, and use a drawing alert to revisit a level. Stock access is included in both Founders plans; it does not require a separate stock-footprint add-on.

A practical workflow in Basis

  1. Choose the actual contract

Open Binance futures and select NVDAUSDT, TSLAUSDT or AAPLUSDT. Check the venue and symbol before comparing it with another chart.

  2. Set the question before the colors

Mark a recent high, low or consolidation. Choose Volume footprint and allow the trade tape to cover the bars you intend to inspect.

  3. Review participation and response

Read bid/ask volume, delta and the busiest row at the level. Record whether price held beyond it or returned; do not count an imbalance alone as a successful signal.

Questions before you start

Does Basis include stock exchange Level 2 or dark pools?

No. The footprint is built from executed Binance perpetual trades. It does not include a consolidated stock order book, exchange share prints or off-exchange equity transactions.

Can I compare a stock footprint with Bitcoin?

Yes. Founders multi-chart can display stock perpetual and crypto charts in the same workspace. Keep their volume units and venues distinct; raw volume totals are not directly comparable.

How much does stock and commodity footprint access cost?

Basis Founders is $15 USD for 30 days, renewed manually. There is no automatic recurring charge. Lifetime access is also available for $50 USD once. Applicable taxes or provider/network fees are shown at checkout. The numbered Founder badge belongs to the lifetime plan.

Can I pay by card rather than cryptocurrency?

Yes. Card checkout is available through Creem. NOWPayments is an alternative for crypto payments. Access opens after payment is verified. See the payments page for the applicable terms and refund process.

What does a bid/ask footprint measure in Basis?

It groups the selected Binance contract’s executed trades by price and bar. Sell-initiated volume appears on the bid side and buy-initiated volume on the ask side. Delta is buy volume minus sell volume. It is not a record of every resting order or the identity of traders.

Why are some historical rows still loading?

Detailed trade tape loads separately from candles. Check the tape/coverage status before interpreting older bars; a pending ladder is not zero activity. History depends on source availability and the loaded window, not an unlimited tick archive.

Can I use a Hyperliquid stock chart for this footprint?

Basis also charts Hyperliquid markets, but its exact-trade footprint currently uses Binance. Select the Binance version of a supported stock or commodity for the footprint described here; same-name contracts on different venues are separate markets.
