Basis Founders · Binance perpetual data
Silver order flow. Give every row the right context.
Inspect silver perpetual transactions inside the candle. Use XAGUSDT bid/ask volume and delta to study participation around a level, with row settings that fit the activity you are actually seeing.
Data scope: Basis uses Binance XAGUSDT perpetual transactions, not COMEX SI futures, physical silver transactions or a consolidated spot-silver feed.

Why sparse rows deserve care
A ratio can look dramatic when one side of a row contains very little volume. Before treating an imbalance highlight as meaningful, check the absolute activity around it and the neighboring rows. A few prints in a quiet window should not carry the same weight as sustained activity through a well-traded level.
Basis includes row grouping and imbalance-volume controls. These let you reduce isolated highlights and make the ladder easier to inspect. The objective is not to tune the settings until a historical trade looks perfect; it is to choose rules you can apply consistently to the next observation.
Compare silver and gold without mixing their volume
A side-by-side XAGUSDT and XAUUSDT workspace can help you compare the timing of a metals move. Compare each contract’s behavior against its own recent activity. Their raw volume numbers do not represent the same quantity or establish that one market has attracted more capital.
A shared price direction is context, not confirmation by itself. Look for whether each contract holds a level after the initial move. Keep the venue and the covered time range aligned before describing a difference as a cross-market divergence.
Use the profile to decide where to zoom
A volume profile can identify where participation clustered across the range you selected. The footprint then gives a more granular account of the retest. That division of work prevents every colored cell from becoming a competing story.
When scrolling back, distinguish unfilled historical tape from genuinely low traded activity. Check coverage and compare completed bars. A live bar’s delta and point of control can change until that interval closes.
A practical workflow in Basis
Choose the silver perpetual
Open XAGUSDT with Binance selected. Do not substitute a similarly named spot or futures feed when comparing volume.
Make the ladder readable
Adjust row grouping and filter tiny imbalances. Keep the same settings through your review window.
Compare a level, not isolated colors
Review the volume concentration, delta and next-bar response at the marked area. Optionally compare the timing with gold in multi-chart.
Questions before you start
Why does my silver ladder look different from a gold ladder?
The contracts have different prices, tick sizes and traded activity. Use instrument-appropriate grouping and compare each market against itself before comparing them to one another.
Can I read a footprint on a bar that is still forming?
Yes, but its rows, delta and POC remain provisional. For a historical comparison, use completed bars and a covered tape window.
How much does stock and commodity footprint access cost?
Basis Founders is $15 USD for 30 days, renewed manually. There is no automatic recurring charge. Lifetime access is also available for $50 USD once. Applicable taxes or provider/network fees are shown at checkout. The numbered Founder badge belongs to the lifetime plan.
Can I pay by card rather than cryptocurrency?
Yes. Card checkout is available through Creem. NOWPayments is an alternative for crypto payments. Access opens after payment is verified. See the payments page for the applicable terms and refund process.
What does a bid/ask footprint measure in Basis?
It groups the selected Binance contract’s executed trades by price and bar. Sell-initiated volume appears on the bid side and buy-initiated volume on the ask side. Delta is buy volume minus sell volume. It is not a record of every resting order or the identity of traders.
Why are some historical rows still loading?
Detailed trade tape loads separately from candles. Check the tape/coverage status before interpreting older bars; a pending ladder is not zero activity. History depends on source availability and the loaded window, not an unlimited tick archive.
Can I use a Hyperliquid stock chart for this footprint?
Basis also charts Hyperliquid markets, but its exact-trade footprint currently uses Binance. Select the Binance version of a supported stock or commodity for the footprint described here; same-name contracts on different venues are separate markets.
